Universities across North America are becoming increasingly international, and with this change comes some students whose command of the English language is lacking, which makes it difficult for these international students to understand and keep up with their classes. To solve this problem, many universities are offer English as a Second Language courses for international students. ESL classes can be taken before the student starts their regular classes or sometimes concurrently with their degree program and are designed to give them the tools they need for English as a second language as quickly and easily as possible.
